My College...

So, today, someone was killed at my college, Henry Ford Community College... in my classroom, no less.

DEARBORN, Mich. – Two students were killed Friday in an apparent murder-suicide at a community college, police said.

The bodies of 28-year-old man and 20 year-old woman were discovered in a room at a Henry Ford Community College building after police responded to an emergency call of a gunshot on campus, said Dearborn Deputy Police Chief Gregg Brighton.

As officers entered the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center, they heard another gunshot, Brighton said.

The man used a shotgun to kill the woman and then turned the gun on himself, he said.

Brighton declined to release their names but said they took at least one class together, which had met earlier in the day Friday.

The school, which has about 17,000 commuter students, sent alerts through an e-mail and cell phone system and locked down the campus, said Marjorie Swan, Henry Ford's vice president/controller.

"Nothing like this has ever occurred on campus," Swan said.

She said the school west of Detroit wasn't as busy as usual because the shooting happened on Good Friday.

Christian Plonka, a 12-year-old who attends a theater program in the building, said he heard "one gunshot, and I saw someone getting pulled back into the room they were in."

Plonka and other students in the program ran into a parking lot at the adjacent University of Michigan-Dearborn campus, where they waited until police allowed them to leave.

Earlier Friday, a 19-year-old gunman wounded three people at a vocational training college in Athens, Greece, before killing himself, authorities said.

The shootings came a week after a man walked into the American Civic Association center in Binghamton, N.Y., and killed 14 people before turning the gun on himself.

I'm bored. I really need to update in here and in hashishinahooka. Hashishinahooka is my main LJ, and I have no idea what to do with this one. I'll figure it out in the coming days. I should also have a new layout for both coming up soon.

So, just to update you on what's been going on:

-I'm a street teamer. I currently belong to Fueled By Ramen's street team. I'm going to join the Live Nation street team soon. I'm also looking to volunteer at Warped Tour. If anyone knows of any other music-related projects I could do, let me know.

-I'm going back to school on the 8th! I'm so excited. I changed my major. I am now a Communications and Graphic Design major. Hurray! I can't wait to be back in school. :D

-I met Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship for the third time, and he remembered me. Yay!

-I quit my job about a month ago. My back started to get messed up, so I couldn't do it anymore. I'm currently looking for temp work.

-I am $9,756 in debt! Most of it is from student loans. All of my debt is in good standing though, and I don't have anything bad on my credit report. I don't know what my credit score is though. I need to find $116 by the 6th to pay a bill. That's the only bad thing. Everything else is just gravy.

-I have a few of my concerts for next year lined up. I'm still waiting for a few bands to post Michigan dates.

-Still single. Not really looking for a relationship. I'm too young to be stuck to someone. :)

I am the luckiest person on Earth. Sorry to the rest of you. No one can be as lucky as I am. I'm having the time of my life right now, and I couldn't be happier.

I decided to update in here because I wanted to gloat. Haha, sorry.

I'm going to see The Blood Brothers this Saturday.

I can't wait until The Academy Is... comes to Detroit. Someone is going to have to stop from molesting Becky.

Yeah, um... one of my patients at work is catching my attention. He has the prettiest green eyes ever. He's not all that cute, but his eyes + his extreme geekiness has got me going. He's 30ish, I think. He's a network administator (sp?), and he likes anime. The only thing is he NEVER stops talking. Man, he talks the whole time I'm giving him a massage. Most of the other patients are half asleep. Not this guy. It was funny though, he didn't even know what a massage was. I'm sooooo serious. When he told me, I laughed after he left the room. Let's see. Oh yeah, he did say something that was pretty damn hot the other day. I asked him (like I do all the patients) if I was applying to much pressure. He said, "It's alright. I do well with pain." He didn't say it exactly like it, and it was hotter out his mouth than it is when I write. I'm not even sure he meant anything by it. I just thought it was hot.

Anyways, I'm not doing much else right now. I'm going back to school in January. I'm trying to go to at least one concert a month. This month is The Blood Brothers. Next month is The Hush Sound. Can't wait to see what January will bring!

Oh yeah, mom was trying to set me up with my brother's friend. And my grandmother thinks I'm a lesbian. lol.

Okay, my computer has been acting up all day. Well, I had to take the battery out and unplug it twice to get it to stop freezing, and the unthinkable happened! I LOST ALL MY BOOKMARKS IN MOZILLA. *cries* I really needed them! I don't even remember all the links that I had. Now, I have to go find them all over again. This is hell. My computer also smells like burnt rubber. I turned it off earlier, but my computer was frozen, so it didn't turn off. I put it into my backpack, and when I got back from my walk I noticed it was still on. It was fucking burning! I think my precious is starting to get old!

I may not be Mexican, but I really do get upset about this stuff because these stereotypes affect all of us Latinos. In fact, to many people in this country, Hispanic = Mexican. Over and over again, I hear people say, "She was speaking Mexican." MEXICAN is not a langauge. Spanish didn't even come from Mexico. Spanish came from SPAIN.

Oh, and my last being Hernandez does not make me a Mexican. Stop calling me one. You can easily ask, "Are you Latino?" Stop using Mexican as a placeholder for Latino/Hispanic. It's not that hard. In face, they all have the same amount of syllables.

Next time you think it's okay to talk about how Mexicans have a lot of kids in front of me, don't be surprised if I don't talk to you ever again. Again, that's a stereotype that is forced on all Latinos.

Oh, and I'm not talking to anyone on my flist. I'm more or less talking to people I know IRL who will never read this.

I wish this was all I had to say. It goes so much deeper than this...

So I'm sick of being Rosie_Posie_860. I'm getting a new journal. I mean it this time. I think I am going to change my username to blameitonbadluck after the Bayside song. In fact, I will.

I am also doing a Friends Cut. If you want to stay on my flist, add me at my new LJ name. I may add a few of you on my own because I know you're not on LJ a lot, and therefore, may not see this post.

Some updates on my other journals. Today, I am going to post some of my free-writes on my writing journal. That poor journal hasn't seen any action in months. It's sad really.

You know what's fun about changing my username? I get to make a new layout and new icons! Hoorah for me.

I haven't made a layout in a while. I'm thinking about making my new LJ friends-only, so I can make a Friends Only banner too. Ooo...ahhh. I feel stupid doing that, but I figure that way, I can keep track of who I add and when because I've forgotten how I met a lot of you.

Dudes, I was so totally stalked by a guy on a bicycle yesterday. It was creepy. I was looking around for somewhere I could charge my computer, and this guy comes out of nowhere and starts following me around. He kept asking me a whole lot questions like where was I going, where I lived, what my name was, and if he could have my number. I couldn't get this dude to go away. At one point, he pointed to Linsell House and said there was an outlet out there. Crazy Stalker Guy Translation: I think that's the perfect place to rape you. There is no damn outlet there. I just gave him a shit reason why that wouldn't work. Then, I told him to stop following me. He asked me why I thought he was following me. Um...because everywhere I go, you're right there. He said he wasn't following me. So, here's my question: If a girl accuses you of stalking her, what do you do? You go about your business, right? WRONG. This dude kept following me and talking to me. I eventually got rid of him, but the mofo creeped me out. You wanna know what makes the whole thing really scary? He doesn't even go to Wayne State! He goes to WCCCD!

Man, I had some really important stuff to say, but I forgot a lot of it.

Well, after I was stalked, I got a Slipknot song stuck in my head. The song is about, well, a stalker. Then, I remembered that I really enjoy Slipknot songs about stalkers. So yeah, when I get home, I'm definitely listening to them, even if I'm not listening to 'Knot right now.

In fact, I think I'll make a Stalker Mix. Yeah, I actually have enough songs about stalking/raping to make a mix. That sort of scares me now. I have three by Slipknot. One by Stone Sour. One by 40 Below Summer. One by Cradle of Filth (not so much a stalking song as a kidnapping/raping/killing/necrophilia song). That gives me six songs...

Okay, so I think it's a good idea to keep all phallic shaped food away from me. Saturday, I discovered that I can almost get a whole bratwurst in my mouth. I had about an inch left over. Bananas don't work because the curve in them is so deep. Why do I feel the need to do this? Rosa has a little too much time on her hands.

Just a thought: Why do older men ask me, "Where's you man at?" His name is Stu and I carry him around in my backpack. Care to say, "Hi"? What kind of question is that? I wouldn't know how to answer that question if I had a man. It's a really stupid question if you ask me.

I watched Miss Universe last night. Yeah, I know. There's was nothing else on, and it intrigued me. I am really pissed that Miss Trinidad and Tobago did not win. She is so gorgeous. I wish I was her. In fact, I want to go get a tan, so I can have skin as dark as hers. It's so gorgeous. I hate my uneven skin tone. Hers is just perfect. She's perfect. If I was gay or a straight man, I'd marry this woman.

Miss Ethopia was gorgeous too, but she didn't even make it to the top 10. Bastards don't know beauty when they see it.

And Miss Puerto Rico? Hell No. Japan was waaaaaaaaaaaay better than her. PR was a toothpick. Seriously, the Asian girls had more curves than her.

And USA and Sweden making the top 5. Ewww.

I can't believe this pageant made me so angry. I didn't even intend to watch it, and I'm getting all upset over it.

Free-writing is fun. I've been free-writing the last couple of days, and I am enjoying it. It just feels good to be writing again, even if what I am writing makes no sense at all.

Okay, I forgot to post this. I was talking to Grace last week, and I happened to mention that seraphito was from Arizona. Grace says to me, "Why are there Mexicans in Arizona?" Grace lost about 20 Mexican cards for that one.
